Am fost azi la lansarea proiectoarelor cu tehnologie laser de la BenQ. Au avut apa minerala si pateuri. Dupa ce mi-am potolit setea (si la propriu si la figurat ca nu imi mai puteam lua ochii de la monstrul ala alb) a inceput prezentarea unde s-au laudat unii cat de tare e firma lor in Romania si in Europa pe piata monitoarelor si a proiectoarelor. Cu toate ca imi plac cifrele, trebuie sa recunosc ca nu prea s-au chinuit sa faca prezentarea un pic mai primitoare asa ca pana la partea in care au inceput sa ne spuna cate ceva despre caracteristicile noilor proiectoare am cam motait atent.

Cu toate ca titlul ar putea sa va conduca la concluzia ca sunt un suporter al acestui acord, va marturisesc ca nu este asa. Voi incerca pe parcursul acestui articol sa fiu cat mai obiectiv cu putinta, iar asta pentru ca scopul meu principal este sa analizez textul in cauza si sa va ajut sa-l intelegeti mai bine.
Am sustinut ideea ca orice actual sau viitor protestatar anti-ACTA ar trebui, in primul rand, sa stie exact de ce protesteaza si impotriva cui. Nu te poti numi protestatar pana cand nu citesti textul macar o data. Poti sa citesti cate articole vrei si sa vezi sute de filmulete pe YouTube. Nimic nu va putea inlocui textul original. Din momentul in care ai luat hotararea sa iti exprimi opinia (sub o forma sau alta) pe marginea ACTA, trebuie sa citesti mai intai textul. In caz contrar, nu esti decat un papagal obosit care da din cioc pe Facebook ca ACTA e un rahat.
Why the PS Vita sales drop is not something to worry about
It seems the PS Vita sold around 325,000 units during the first week (which meant just two days), while during the second full week the handheld recorded sales of just 72,000 units. Of course, many major websites are already estimating disastrous sales for the US launch next year, demanding a price cut. It’s even on Forbes and this kind of mass hysteria is spreading fast. Let’s see if it’s really the moment to worry or it’s just that time of the year when news are scarce and everyone tries to squeeze something out of anything.
GDC 2012 Adds Dragon Age, Space Invaders Infinity Gene, Journey Talks
This week, Game Developers Conferece 2012 is revealing a trio of notable new sessions, including the first Western appearance of Space Invaders Infinity Gene and Groove Coaster’s creator, product ownership as it relates to Dragon Age, and the music behind Journey and Monaco. The 26th GDC show will take place Monday, March 5 through Friday, March 9 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, and the Main Conference (March 7th-9th) offers six tracks covering key disciplines in the games industry, including Audio, Business, Marketing & Management, Game Design, Production, Programming, and Visual Arts. Assassin’s Creed Revelations Romanian Launch Photos
Well, yesterday evening we’ve attended the Romanian launch event for Assassin’s Creed Revelations and although it wasn’t as crowded as we’d like, it was still nice to be there and see some familiar faces. The guys from thegamecast.net were there and they talked about the game, as they had the chance to play it prior to this event. There were also lots of prizes like branded t-shirts, red feathers, USB sticks as well as games so the 40 or something people who attended the event didn’t leave with empty hands.
From what I understand, Ubisoft will organize a similar event on November 26 for the launch of Rayman Origins and Anno 2070, followed by a multiplayer competition for Assassin’s Creed Revelations (PC version) on December 1st. We’ll know more about these events in the days to come, so for now just enjoy the photos from yesterday’s event.

Assassin’s Creed Revelations Romanian Launch Event Announced
Ubisoft Romania, Best Distribution, Domo, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and thegamecast.net announced the upcoming Romanian launch event for Assassin’s Creed Revelations. The main event will take place on Tuesday, November 15th, 19:00, at the Technomarket store from Vitantis Shopping Center in Bucharest and will kickstart the events and promotions from another 5 Romanian cities, Cluj Napoca, Constanța, Craiova, Iași and Timișoara. If you happen to be in Bucharest, you can come Tuesday evening to Vitantis Shopping Center and attend the launch event, or if you are in one of the other 5 cities, you can go to the Domo store and play the game (as well as get a special offer if you buy the game, so check the press release for details). Assassin’s Creed Revelations will be playable on PlayStation 3 consoles, connected to 3D TVs.
Ubisoft Romania Announces M&M Heroes 6 Showcase Event
Ubisoft Romania announced that the public showcase of Might and Magic Heroes 6 and The Adventures of Tintin – The Secret of the Unicorn will take place tomorrow, November 5th, at City Mall, Bucharest. The event will start at 14:00 inside the Domo store (LG section). Ubisoft’s partner list for this event includes Microsoft Romania, Best Distribution, Domo and Gigabyte.

Ubisoft Romania Announces First Edition of Ubi Challenge
Ubisoft Romania and Microsoft Romania announced the first edition of Ubi Challenge, a competition for talented coders to showcase their knowledge. This first edition started on September 20th and lasts until October 20th, ending with a Q&A session where winners will be chosen. If you’re proficient with ASP.net (required for this edition), then you can register via their website.
Call of Juarez: The Cartel Romanian Launch Event
Ubisoft Romania announced that Call of Juarez: The Cartel Romanian launch event will take place today. It’s actually starting in about one hour and a half, at 16:00 today, local time. The event takes place downtown at the GameShop Concept Store (Str. Sfanta Vineri, nr. 25, Bucharest). I’ll be there to shoot… some photos, test the game and have a drink. A few thoughts on the Wii U
Nintendo kept its promise. As I’ve already forcasted back in December, they unveiled a new console, the Wii U, but the announcement had unforeseen consequences. Nintendo’s shares fell by a hefty percentage and I don’t expect them back up, at least not until Tokyo Game Show. So, what happened? What’s Wii U and why has it generated this kind of reaction? What should Nintendo do next?

GameShop.ro Concept Store Now Open in Bucharest
Best Distribution announced the grand opening of the GameShop.ro Concept Store – The Ultimate Gaming Experience, the first location of this kind in Romania. It’s not a place where you can buy games or accessories for consoles or PCs, but rather a place where you can play the newest games on the latest platforms available on the market, meet other people, chat and mingle, make new friends, not in the Facebook sense, or why not, fierce enemies that you can defeat in a match of Mortal Kombat right on the spot.
It’s all about getting the information you need and playing the games you like. The range of games you can play is quite generous, Best Distribution acting as a local distributor for companies like Electronic Arts, Activision Blizzard, UBISOFT, Take 2 Interactive, Namco Bandai Partners, Square Enix, Warner Bros and many more, while Sony being the sponsor of the Concept Store, providing all the necessary displays, 46″ BRAVIA EX 402.

Gran Turismo 5 Romanian Press Event Today – Updated
This evening, we’ll attend the Gran Turismo 5 press event in Bucharest, Romania. The chosen location looks classy to say the least, but we’re more interested in seeing Gran Turismo 5 in 3D. We’re hoping for some really big screen Bravias and, maybe, racing wheels from Logitech. And free booze.

Ubisoft Romania announced the upcoming launch of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood in Romania. The event will take place in Bucharest, Sun Plaza Mall, Diverta Shop on Friday 19th, 17:00.
