First gameplay video for new free-to-play browser game now playing at www.F1OnlineTheGame.com
December 19th 2011 – 10:00 UK – Today Codemasters announced that gamers can be amongst the first in the world to play F1 ONLINE: THE GAME by registering to join a closed beta programme at www.F1OnlineTheGame.com. F1 ONLINE: THE GAME is a new free-to-play racing and management game in production at Codemasters Studios under exclusive worldwide agreement with Formula One World Championship Limited and will feature all the cars, stars and circuits. Tuesday Dec 13th(10 AM UK ) – Set to deliver a brand new dive-in-and-drive rush of speed, style and destruction, today Codemasters announced that DiRT Showdown, an action packed extension of the award-winning DiRT series, will debut May 2012 for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION3 computer entertainment system and PC.
Codemasters today unveiled Tajikistan as Operation Flashpoint: Red River’s new setting and there’s a gameplay trailer on their Facebook page if you’re interested enough to see it. Just wait a sec and have a look at these beautiful screenshots.
As the back-story to the conflict unfolds, US Marines are shown protecting convoys, sweeping through urban areas and engaging enemy forces. When guns are drawn, pins are pulled and talking stops, Tajikistan becomes a bloody battlefield carved up by insurgents fighting guerrilla war from the shadows and the conventional might of the People’s Liberation Army of China (PLA).
In addition to setting the scene for Operation Flashpoint: Red River, the video also shows some of the many visual improvements which make this the best looking Operation Flashpoint game ever. From newly captured animations, enhanced vehicle interiors and atmospheric colour grading to digital distortion and other camera effects, every part of graphics, animations and VFX have been improved or designed from the ground-up to immerse players in the theatre of war.
Codemasters has released today the official launch trailer for F1 2010; the game is now available in US stores while in Europe and PAL territories it will arrive on 23 September. Watch the trailer below:
Codemasters released a new trailer for F1 2010, a game scheduled for release this month, on September 22nd in North America, September 23rd across EPAC territories with a UK street date of September 24th for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
Showcasing the stunning lighting effects featured in F1 2010, the new gameplay video features the full 24 car grid taking on the spectacular Singapore night race. For the first time in a FORMULA ONE videogame, players will experience night racing in high-definition as they go wheel-to-wheel on the city streets, set against a backdrop of fireworks and skyscrapers. F1 2010, powered by the award-winning EGO engine, authentically recreates the effect of the circuit’s hundreds of thousands of individual light sources as stars including Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel take on one of the most dramatic events on the FORMULA ONE calendar.
The video also showcases the world’s finest racing drivers slicing and dicing at Yas Marina. The 2010 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX is shown as the race takes place at dusk, highlighting the unique atmosphere at the circuit set to host the final round of the thrilling 2010 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP.
Codemasters today released new screens from DiRT 3 and, of course, you can access them in our gallery. Coming 2011, DiRT 3features more cars, more locations, more routes and more events than any other game in the series, including over 50 rally cars representing the very best from five decades of the sport. With more than double the track content of 2009’s hit, DiRT 3 will see players start at the top as a professional driver. The game will be released next year for Xbox 360, Playtation 3 and PC.
